The hotel was a brilliant base for enjoying a local area, short walk to the center of town. Neat units with comfortable bed, and the staff were lively. The location was decent, not too...

Location
When we arrived at sharp 8.30am for the advertised breakfast, nothing (and really nothing!) was prepared. We had to wait for a half hour to get only a small and dry croissant with cheese and ham (although we sad that we were vegetarians) and tea, what was said to be a "continental breakfast". That was very, very poor service and (coming from the continent to attend a conference at Canbridge at 9.15am) no breakfast at all. Oh, and lastly: Actually the Castle is a night club so you can hear music until 2am in the morning, which (besides the late breakfast) is again not very good if you want to attend a conference.

It was really good value. Suite had everything you could need. Also, free wifi was provided. It is located in the center of the city, but on a noisy street, unfortunately. The restaurant was located within 400 feet......

Breakfast was ok
Such an awful, awful 'b&b'. The rooms are directly above the bar/nightclub so we had to fight our way through to get up to our room, and all we heard until 3am was the bassy dj. Then an hour of everyone being chucked out, shouting and fighting in the street outside (no double glazing - you could hear every word). Then an hour of all the glass being collected in the street outside and the bar being cleaned. Tv didnt work in the room. Neither did the lamp. One of the windows didnt open so it was baking hot in there. The curtains were falling down. The shared bathrooms were dirty. Needless to say, we certainly wouldnt stay again!

Consider asking for a quieter room away from the bar to ensure a restful night, especially on weekends.

Too poor!!! The worst hotel (b&b) I've ever stayed in my entire lives!!! If you can, never try to live in this hotel. The wi-fi Internet is fake, the tv can't use, the room smelly. The bed is dirty. The toilet too poor.
